- ICNARC, Intensive Care National Audit Research Centre, collates statistics
for survival rates in intensive care units. - Currently, four private sector hospitals submit data to ICNARC, three of which are HCA hospitals;
The Harley Street Clinic, London Bridge Hospital and The Wellington Hospital. -
The predicted score is based on an assessment of
various factors relating to patients’ health, such as
age, medical condition and history. - The fact that HCA achieves lower than predicted
mortality rates is a reflection of the quality of our
Intensive Care Units and nursing procedures. - HCA has more ITU (intensive treatment unit) and HDU
(high dependency unit) beds than any other private
hospital group.
